November the 18th 1993

Guilt engulfed me.
The wine side of me bleated that it was the Lamborghini talking yesterday?
It forced me to call him ‘Baldy-locks’.
Yet the rational side of me knew it was cruel and I never should have said it.

Another theory was PMT but there wasn’t a match on?
There shouldn’t have been any Pre -Match Tension in the air?

Worked 4-10pm.
Myself and Gail just bounced off each other’s humours.
Making a lot of the shift hysterical.

Darted home to watch?
You’ve guessed it Soldier Soldier!

When Robson Greene grabbed hold of that microphone .
It sent shivers down my thighs.

Him and Jerome Flynn roaring out to the Righteous Brothers song ‘Unchained melody’.

I needed his voice right now next to me on this settee.
His voice soothed me and his looks dumbfounded me.

As he belted out “I need your love” I smiled and I didn’t require alcohol tonight.
This was the best medicine I could swallow.
I looked into his eyes and wanted to meet him real life.
To whisk me away to some kind of nudest beach.

I couldn’t believe his TV wife Donna had placed her long slinky, pinky tongue around this other geezer’s tonsils.

That song was pacifically for her.
