Who never ceases to make me laugh.
I got a blast from the past yesterday .
Ross (Aka Rob) had sent me a photo of somebody on my phone yesterday
I didn’t read it till 11.00pm.
I thought I’d better not text him as it was late.
I scanned the photo knowing it’s somebody from my past.
What had he done?
Was he known as Penny Wise the mass murdering clown?
Was he the male version of Annie Wilkes in Misery.
An obsessed fan who strapped their victims ankles together .
Then proceeded by belting them with a sledge hammer?
Even worse was he an ump-a Lump-a in Charlie and the Chocolate factory but being just a tad taller and got the part.
I looked and looked at the photo but just couldn’t remember who this f@@@er was!
“I don’t know him but who is he ?” I replied to the text .
Full of anticipation.
“It’s Simon from 1988 Butlin’s Skegness” he answered.
It just clicked.
“OH MY GOSH!”
I was possibly a year or two older than him.
All our family had gone to Butlins and I’d had my first massive holiday romance with Tucker.
A Liverpudlian who’d I’d fallen head over heels with.
I’d met Simon in the bar earlier
and just had a pint or two with him.
He was nice company and we were just friends but then I’d met Tucker.
Simon latched onto us all holiday.
He’s even in the family photo and became best mates with Rob. ( sniggers).
I think he might have had a tiny crush on me.
When I looked again he’d lost a bit of hair but still had that same smile.
What a raspberry from the Glastonbury of 1988 Butlins.
